Properties eleigible for consideration must be commercial properties located within the HVMS boundary. Generally, the boundary extends along Falls Road, between 36th and 37th Streets; Roland Avenue between 36th Street and Union Avenue; along 36th Street between Falls Road and Keswick Road; along Chestnut Aveneue, between 34th and 36th Street; and along 34th Street between Chestnut and Keswick Avenue.
Funding for projects will be based on matching grants: HVMS will match, up to a limit, every dollar contributed by a property or business owner for an approved project, with no repayment required. Projects will include facade improvements as well as signage improvements. Grants will be limited to a maximum of $3,000 for each project and will be reimbursable to the applicant upon submission of paid contractor's invoices to the HVMS office. The matching grants can only be used for exterior building improvements that are visible from the designated area.
